Soulographer

During Leora Sanford's 25 Days celebration, I stumbled upon a site which I will ♥ forever!
And there is a fabulous giveaway and sale there right now! So... go, go, go and take a look!

In other news... I have been crazy, crazy busy! I am finally getting "caught up" though that's mostly just in one part of my work - the rest has all taken a back seat to that, and now needs to get caught up. Anyway, I am hoping desperately to get some scrapping done over the next week or so, so hopefully you'll see some new layouts (and maybe a few hybrid goodies as well) soon!

Have a safe and happy New Year!!

The best of intentions...

Yep, I certainly have the best of intentions!

I try to scrap!

I want to scrap!

But time seems to elude me lately...

This morning, though, I threw caution to the wind, and despite the fact
that I have my largest day of work so far ahead of me,

I SCRAPPED A PAGE!

Yay, me!

Now I pay for it by being even more behind on my work...

Wish List Collab and Blog Hop

Oh, my goodness! Do I ever have good news for you today!! The designers of CatScrap have gotten together with those of The Lilypad, and they made this beautiful collab together. What's better? For a limited time, you can get it free with your $10 purchase! And even better? Our CTs are having a blog hop, and you can collect a whole host of gorgeous QPs made with this great kit! Ready to have a look? Here you have it - Wish List.

Here is the layout I made with it. Ummm... kind of embarrassing that this is my first December Daily/Journal Your Christmas page you've seen, but it's the first one I've gotten made. I had planned to make a paper book, but as we were gone for the first week of December, and I've been swamped with work since we got back, that just had to go by the wayside. So, here is my day 12 page, though I still plan to make a coordinating page with journaling. Can you tell I have a lot of work to do on this project yet?? Oh, well. It's fun!

And since I didn't figure you'd want a "12" on your page, I changed that to some word art for your QP.
You can download it at box.net, and if I run out of bandwith there, you can get it at 4shared.

I believe if you are following the blog hop, you should have come from Meryem's blog, and your next stop after me is Val's blog. Have fun!

Some goodies

Oh, my poor neglected blog! I'm sorry I've been away so long! There's been a lot going on here from lots of paperwork, to my brother-in-law unexpectedly falling gravely ill and passing away within a week, to an unplanned trip halfway across the country for his memorial service, to lots more paperwork and getting ready for Christmas. I'm still FAR from ready, with only about 6 gifts bought so far! We don't have a tree yet, or any decorations up, because we only got back a few days ago, and have been pretty solidly working! Hopefully we'll get all that done soon, as we are rapidly running out of time! I am working on making a few holiday gifts - I'll share more about them as I get some made. But for now, I must share a few things with you!!

Did you know that CatScrap is having an Advent Calendar? Check out the daily downloads there! And you might notice Santa hanging around in the forums and gallery!

Then head over to two little pixels! With your $10 order, this beautiful collab is automatically added to your cart!

I had a lot of fun working with it! I recently made my first photo book using a free code from Shutterfly, and as I had to make it quickly (because I waited until the last minute, as usual), I had to just throw things together. It came out nice, but because I know nothing about bleed and all that, the pages are a little off center. And because all my layouts are single-page, a lot of the pages don't match very well. So, I vowed to make more two-page layouts in the future. Here's my first one.

Page one...

Page two...

and the two combined!

And check out the sweet December 2010 Gold Member kit at DST. It was made by my friend Shen. I absolutely loved playing with this kit!

Here is what I made.

I hope this post finds you well! And I plan to be writing much more over the next few weeks! (((hugs)))

SugarPlums

Nancie Rowe Janitz joined up with Aja Abney to make this beautiful Christmas kit. I loved playing with it!

I also was itching to use one of these frames from creashens that I have fallen in love with.

And here is what I ended up with.

I'm slightly behind, but pink reptile designs paired up with micheline martin designs to make this beautiful collab - the things you say. I had a lot of fun working with it. I also used a template from Crystal Livesay - I love her templates!!

Here's the layout I made.

New from Pink Reptile Designs

Mirjam of Pink Reptile Designs is guesting at DigiScrappers Brasil this month! That is a store I really like, so this is very exciting for me! They are having their monthly Built By Palette event right now, and this is what Mirjam created for it! ♥ it!

Here is my layout with them.

I made this for November's Girl vs. Scrap challenge.

Winter's Bouquet

Siamese Studio has this GORGEOUS collab out today with Michelle Batton Designs - Winter's Bouquet. I think it is so richly colored and beautiful! It will be $5.99 at two little pixels regularly, but this weekend, you can get it for only $4.80.

Here are a few layouts from May's creative team.

Be Happy from Hazel Olive Designs

Well, I'm afraid I'm a little behind in announcing this, but I am now a proud member of Hazel Olive Designs' creative team! I was so excited that she was opening up her new store at Two Peas, and stunned when she offered me a position on her team! I wish I wasn't so stinking busy right now with work, because she has so many fun kits to work with!

Here is her newest one - Be Happy - available at Two Peas!

This is what I made with it.

Journaling reads: I really thought your daddy was crazy when I told him you needed new shoes, and he got you chore boots! But it turned out he was smart... because running around in a yard where chickens and turkeys run all day, it's great to have washable footwear!

Fonts are: 1942 Report and Jellyka -Estrya's Handwriting

I hope I have time to get a few more goodies made today to show you!!

My First Hybrid

When Nancie Rowe Janitz uploaded this at CatScrap, I couldn't wait to try it!! I had never made a hybrid before, and I wasn't able to find locally quite the right products.

But I bought my first bottle of Mod Podge, and with the help of my 18-month old (which I HIGHLY recommend against), this is what I made. I'm pretty happy with my first hybrid!
